Made The Bed Order Grey

To make the bed or not, that is the question.

You wake up in the morning, pull yourself up in a soft and comfortable bed. Are you thinking about what you need to do today? Have breakfast, go to work, then meet up with friends and return home no later than eleven in the evening. The plan of the day is laid out on the shelves, you pull yourself up for the last time, rise, and then your gaze falls on the bed.

And the dilemma begins. Making the bed or not? This, of course, is not a Shakespearean story, but the question does not disappear anywhere.

Well, let’s figure it out.

What do psychologists say?

Did you know that not only your family can insist that you make the bed, but also psychologists? This is true. Moreover, countless studies have been carried out in England, America, France, and therefore there are several reasons to reject laziness and put your sleeping place in order.

The first “psychologically approved” reason is that the ritual of making your bed every day is key that can pave the way for self-discipline and fitness. This thesis is stated in the book “The Power of Habit” by psychologist Charles Duhigg.

What does this mean? It is important not to dwell only on the main “big goal”, but also to focus on the side matters of life, like cleaning or eating. This is the path to success.

Let’s move on to the second reason, but first, answer a small question. Which person is happier – the one who spends every day with drive, a bunch of emotions and adrenaline, or the one who leads a calm life and does not allow himself to throw out the accumulating feelings? Unfortunately, none of these options are correct.

According to research psychologists, happy people are those who know how to enjoy small things. Have you bought a new potholder for the kitchen? Wonderful! Did you get a call from a dear person you haven’t spoken to for a long time? Just great! Woke up in the morning and made your bed, despite the fact that you wanted to spend an extra minute on the final “lie down”? Wonderful, just great!

Praise yourself for the little things, and you will find that life will become easier and more joyful. It’s definitely worth it.

Who said that everyday life is not important?

In addition to obvious health benefits (both mental and physical), let’s turn to simple and everyday arguments in favor of a made bed.

If you don’t make your bed in the morning, you will be tempted to lie down for another minute, which can take an hour, which will make you inevitably late. Is it nice to be late? Not at all.

But to return home after a hard day, go to the shower and climb into a cozy and even aesthetically pleasing bed – this really pleases the soul. It may be difficult to force yourself in the morning, but in the evening you will be grateful to yourself.

How many times have you tried to develop the habit of keeping yourself clean? Start in bed – buy beautiful linens for her, a cozy bedspread, and you will not notice how you begin to put other things in order. How can you throw a thing on the floor, where there is such a wonderful bed next to it? No, it is better to create a good “company” for her – cleanliness around.

A made bed can also be a place for household tasks, playing with children, collecting puzzles, and any other activity that is convenient for you.

In conclusion, I would like to draw your attention to one nuance. Don’t make your bed immediately after waking up and getting up. Wait for it to cool down. If you cover it immediately after waking up, there is a chance that in this case some harmful microorganisms can begin to multiply due to the heat remaining after sleep.

We offer you a simple scheme: wake up, get up, throw back the blanket, go to wash your face in the morning, put on the kettle, and then go back to your bed and make it. This is enough to take care of the cleanliness of the sleeping place and instill in yourself a pleasant and useful habit.
